Give to Aloha United Way

Supporting our local nonprofits and working together to protect the health, safety and well-being of our community

The persistent rains in March 2021 have wiped out streets and caused millions of dollars worth of damages across the state of Hawai‘i. Aloha United Way’s (AUW) 211 helpline is often one of the first calls made by those in need of information and referrals when a crisis occurs—and these circumstances are no different. This spring, our 211 specialists are receiving a significant increase in inquiries requesting food, housing, shelter, disaster, and crisis services as a direct result of the flooding.

If you are in the position to give, please consider contributing to the newly launched Aloha United Way Emergency Flood Relief Fund.

This effort will provide relief to those in need following the flood by:

  • Supporting AUW partner agencies* who are currently providing food, housing, shelter, disaster, and crisis services across the state to those affected by recent flooding
  • Strengthening the 211 call center’s emergency response efforts along with the efforts of other agencies providing immediate direct services

Activated swiftly to raise funds to help those affected most by the flood, we are grateful to our founding sponsor of the Emergency Flood Relief Fund, Hawthorne CAT. Read more here

We don’t know what the future will hold, but we know this: Hawai‘i’s got grit. And we can get through anything if we do it together.
