Let’s rebuild our island communities to be better and more resilient than ever.

Thousands in our island communities have been devastated by the events of 2020 and need your support to rebuild their lives.

Faced with a once-in-a-generation challenge, Aloha United Way (AUW) stepped up. Our staff, donors, volunteers, and our entire community came together in an unprecedented way. We helped our neighbors who were most impacted by the global pandemic and economic downturn
get the relief and support they needed.

Here's how we’ve worked to protect the health, safety, and well-being of our communities in 2020.

  • 600% increase in calls to AUW’s 211 helpline for housing, food, and healthcare resulted in increased staffing and hours of operation.

  • 8,500 face masks were distributed to the community.

  • $20 million+ in rental assistance distributed to community in partnership with government agencies, local businesses, and individuals.

  • 30 partner agencies delivered safety net services and programs to assist local residents with financial stability.
Our new normal is a world of uncertainty and change. That will take some getting used to. But we need to do more than adapt to a post-pandemic world. We need to build a better one.

Starting today, can speak up, raise our hands, give back. Starting today we can reimagine a tomorrow that is better than yesterday. But a new tomorrow can’t be reached alone. To get there, we must LIVE UNITED.
