You can be the help change your community.
You can make change happen by getting informed, educating your family and friends and using your voice. Thank you for taking a journey with us, but your work doesn't have to stop.
Here are some ways to advocate for your community:
Get educated on the needs of your community
In order to tackle our community’s toughest challenges - we must first understand the issues.
The United Way of Bartholomew County is fully committed to having deep knowledge of our community’s challenges and strengths. It is foundational to our work and required in order to ensure that resources in the community are aligned with documented needs.
The purpose of our Needs Assessment is to generate healthy constructive discussion to ensure that as a community we clearly understand our challenges and assets. And, that as a community we are effectively aligning our resources in order to move our community forward in a way that benefits us all, including the most vulnerable among us.

Join Imagine Columbus
Imagine Columbus is a cross-sector coalition (public, private, not-for-profit) that works across the many domains of inclusion: gender, race/ethnicity, LGBQT+, socio-economic status, age, disability, and religion.
Through engaging community members in meaningful discussions and actions, Imagine Columbus seeks to answer the question: How might we work together to become a more inclusive community?

Become a campaign champion
Hundreds of companies, large and small, take an active role in making their communities a better place by conducting a workplace campaign. Companies and their employees join with United Way of Bartholomew County to structure efforts which are customized to fit within their corporate culture.
Campaign Champions help implement the campaigns in their workplaces.
We are committed to working together to coordinate a workplace campaign that can build a strong sense of teamwork within your organization.
Employee morale can be improved through the satisfaction your employees receive from helping others.
