United Way of Bartholomew County and our community partners have spent years having conversations and trying to affect change on issues surrounding race, equity and inclusion.
These studies have led us to an understanding of the challenges our community faces when it comes to inequities. Inequities contribute to disparities we see in the areas of health, education and financial stability and will continue to hold us back unless we address them.
Our awareness of these inequities led us to launch Imagine Columbus.
Imagine Columbus is a cross-sector coalition (public, private, not-for-profit) that works across the many domains of inclusion: gender, race/ethnicity, LGBQT+, socio-economic status, age, disability, and religion.Through engaging community members in meaningful discussions and actions, Imagine Columbus seeks to answer the question: How might we work together to become a more inclusive community?
Please watch the video above to learn more about addressing inequities in our community.
