Honoring and Celebrating Black History

Tell Us What Black History Month Means to You

How to Record a Voice Memo

Ensure that your microphone is not obstructed, minimize environmental noise, and keep your mic as steady as possible.

Black History Month is a time to reflect on the many achievements and contributions of the Black community and their role in our history

We want to hear from you! Record a voice memo and tell us:

  • What does Black History Month mean to you
  • What should people know about Black History Month and Black leaders in history?
  • Who inspires you?

Email your message to katie.truitt@uwcm.org. We will be using these voice memos for a special episode of soon-to-be-released podcast: Barrier Breakers: Be Informed. Be Inspired. Be More. (By sharing, you grant us permission to use the voice memos in our content. Voices and names will be changed.)

We look forward to hearing from you!
