Nearly $3.5 million invested and leveraged to change the lives of hard-working families across greater Danbury, greater New Milford and Stamford including:
- 16,679 individuals served through grant funded programs
- 50 agencies funded across our region
Childhood Success
- 2,700 children received more affordable child care
- 207 children from struggling households received $300 to participate in out-of-school activities
- 35 child care providers received support during the pandemic
Food Security and Health
- $60,000 in grants made to food pantries to address increased need during the pandemic
- $80,000 in free, fresh produce provided to participants in our Healthy Savings Program
- 95+ volunteers mobilized to distribute food during the pandemic
Financial Stability
- 3,400 people across the state received $200 in cash assistance totaling $680,000 through local and statewide United Way COVID relief funds
- $2.6 million in tax refunds to 1,743 Volunteer Income Tax Assistance clients who had their taxes prepared for free
- 430+ people receive free budget coaching through local agencies and ALICE Saves
Volunteerism
- 1,833+ volunteers mobilized in the past year
- 8,137 volunteer hours provided to the community
- $260,000 in value of volunteer time provided to the communities we serve
