Together, we get healthy food to families who struggle

Let's Do This For Our Community

Together, we can create lasting change in our communities, and keep every person in our region healthy.

Do you know all the ways you have helped United Way of Western CT to get food to our neighbors during the crisis of the past year? Here's your impact by the numbers:

688+households received more than $97,000 in free, fresh produce through the Healthy Savings Program.
95+volunteers recruited and mobilized to deliver food to the elderly and homebound across our region during the height of the pandemic.
6,500+ pounds of food collected through Days of Action in Stamford and Danbury.
$117,000 raised through the Feeding Our Neighbors Challenge to benefit food pantries in greater Danbury, in partnership with Union Savings Bank, Newtown Savings Bank, and Savings Bank of Danbury.
4,800 Farm to Families Food Boxes with 144,000 pounds of food distributed in Stamford and Danbury, with our food partners, in the month of March 2021 alone.
$60,000+ donated directly from United Way funds to food pantries in greater Danbury, Southern Litchfield County, and Stamford.
100+families received holiday meals as well as toys for children through the Amber Room Pay It Forward Campaign.
