When dozens of residents like James were left without homes, we stepped in to find them more stable housing. But for these displaced residents, simply moving into a new home doesn't end the crisis. They needed community resources to get by, such as food, employment and transportation resources.
Residents helped by the United Way typically need 5 or more service resources services to create a more stable foundation to move forward.
This is only one of many examples of how residents right here in Northwest Indiana live on the edge of crisis. Will you help us prepare for the next community crisis?
